Diamond Clarity - Its Effect On The Diamond's Beauty

One of the criteria of rating loose diamonds is determined in Clarity. Also called flaw classification, clarity classification is one of the factors in determining the diamond's overall grade. The flaws and small imperfections are seen under a microscope, and tiny hairline faults cause slight value downgrades. Also, as diamonds formm in nature they take on different structural realities that reflect in what they ultimately now are. Each diamond's internal structure is true only to itself.

This means that no two diamonds are alike, as they say of snowflakes, or people. But for Clarity, it is true that clarity may have little to do with the beauty of a diamond,if it falls within the first eight clarity grades. Diamond ratings start with the letter Grade D as most flawless, or perfect. The Grades follow down in merit and value. After D, we continue down from the most flawless as D, E, and F, then goes on down to the X, Y, and Z's on the bargain table, where many fine bargain has been found cast into the wrong bin.

This would usually result to the advantage of the occasional treasure hunter. It is worth mentioning that brilliance and sparkling qualities can still be present in a diamond that may not have good clarity. Lack of properly good clarity affects the diamond in more structural ways, not in the brilliance of its display. You should remember to carry your Loupe with you as your human eye will see little of vital interest to you, other than a sparklin brilliance. Is it already mounted so you can not gauge the shape of the diamonds.

Being adaptable on the status of the clarity grade is one trick on the trade; that is to go down one way to get more on what you really want. So down grade on Clarity to have a more impressive and brilliant diamond at the same price range. Some expensive diamonds can tend to hide their liht under an expensive bush, you can take your time to assure that you select a diamond that has heavenly sky blue in just the right light. Today a jeweler can allow you took look through a video camera and have the image of your diamond show up on the screen.

The Clarity Grade is still very important to you as a buyer. Clarity shows the clear your diamond is, how well it has been cared for, any nicks or scratches. So while as above we suest you could skimp on Clarity and greatly enhance Beauty and Brilliance. Look and compare at the difference in beauty and brilliance as you try looking at a diamond with a lower Clarity score, that is, less desirable. This can be enlightening even before you turn the wrong lights down and the right lights on. Enjoy, have fun. You are glowing in the dark near the glen, you diamond.
