Looking For Signs Of A Fire

Have you ever looked up at the skyline and saw the signs of a fire? During the daytime, we aren't outside enough to even know that a fire is even happening. The first sign that told us about a fire would be the fire whistle coming off the fire truck as it speeds through town. There are signs that will tell someone that a fire has started. These might be this big black cloud of smoke or the crackling sounds of things breaking or even an orange-colored glow on the skyline. If you see either of these, the fire is a long way off or that it's so big that you had better hope that they can put it out.

These signs will mean that this fire is pretty big and will cause a lot of damage to whatever it touches. Also, there will be many squads of fire fighters that are already fighting this monster of a blaze, but that they will need many more to help. These types of fires will do severe damages to wildlife, trees, animals, homes, and of course us.

If there is any airflow at all, this will help in keeping the fire going and will cause the fire fighters nothing but misery as they will have to keep going over ground that has already had the fire there and had it started back up. If they might have had this fire under control and this wind picked up and became strong winds, it could make for a long day and night for these fire fighters. In most cases like these, you might as well leave the area and come back later when the fire is out.

This will help the fire fighters because they won't have to worry about trying to help people out of trapped places, and they will only have to worry about themselves. The worst thing you can do to a fireman is to get in his way where he will not be able to do his job right. He is there to get this fire out with as little time as possible so that he can move to the next place that a fire might be burning. If this fire is out and you need help with something, he will be happy to do what he can do to help, but don't just waste his time and yours by asking him to do something that he doesn't need to do.
