Dry wells should be cleaned or build new ones, areaways should be cleaned too. Foundation walls should be damp proofed. Under concrete floor drainage piping should be installed together with a sump pump. Immediately repair the washing machine hoses. Outside hose faucet should be repaired or closed.

High moisture content in the bathroom can cause mold or fungus on the tiles. To remove this one should ventilate the bathroom properly and scrub the tiles using strong bleach and then washing them with clean water and drying then using exhaust fans.

If all the above guidelines don't work then one should call for a professional contractor for the entire water damage repair.
