Many people find great humor in gossip, but there is no humor found in lies that are told on people. This type of humorous behavior is generally a pathetic sign that the person is insecure and everyone privy to the gossip will have to make a decision on where their level of humor is at that particular point in time.
Other people that know that there is no humor found in lies might choose to use abbreviations to work themselves out of a difficult situation. In order to fit in with the crowd at work, they might find it necessary to tell the person what they think through little notes of innuendo that they place on the bulletin board at work with an anonymous signature at the bottom.
If management found out who posted such short but hurtful remarks, they would make whomever posted the comment realize that there is no humor found in lies. They would probably be fired from their position with the company, or be demoted at the very least. Then that person who wrote the short note would know that management had the last laugh and they were not amused at all with what transpired on company property.
Any time a falsehood exists between people in the workplace, there is a good chance that the atmosphere at work will seem like a time bomb. Some people can not tolerate this type of pressure and may begin to take leave or be absent for several days at a time. When they are at home, they reflect on the problem and find no humor in the situation.
There is no humor found in lies told by people who want to get a competitive edge on an opponent at work who is vying for the same promotion. This type of humor will rarely be thought of as amusing or even clever and will generally cause everyone in the office to lose respect for the individual who is telling lies about their opponent.
Some people find it very humorous to abscond with company property. The items might be small at first but the shortages will be duly noted after a certain period of time. The lies that follow to cover up the theft will be duly noted by all who work there and the reaction of many in the office will be severely negative.
There is no humor found in lies that are based on deceptive practices that tend to implicate innocent people and many office settings will not tolerate such deceptive traits in the persons that hold a position with their company. There is no humor found in lies that deceive and pass the blame on anything but the right thing and people will help the underdog in such a conflict everytime it occurs.
