But, I Can't Write An E-book!

You know that creating your own information product is a great way to make a living on the Internet. You know that it is the one Internet marketing model that will allow you to live a lifestyle of freedom. You know that all you have to do is write an e-book once, and you can be collecting an income from it for years.

But, you also think you know you can't write a book. You're convinced that you're not a writer, that you have nothing valuable to share, that you could never produce a profitable information product.

So, what are you going to do? How are you going to join the happy infopreneurs? Those lucky entrepreneurs who make a fantastic living selling their information products on the Internet. How can you join them?

Let's look at some of the obstacles that you see.

= But, I Don't Have Anything Valuable To Share =

Consider the information you do have. Think about this. What are your strengths?

Sit down for a while and list out all the things you can do.

Can you bake a wonderful Christmas fruitcake that stays so lovely and moist - that all your friends clamour for? Are you the one all your co-workers turn to when the office database program is acting up, again? Do you have a list of every obscure supplier of hard-to-find parts for antique cars?

Right there - three ideas for information products you can sell on the Internet. A cookbook, a software tutorial, and a supplier catalog. Any one of these products could bring you a steady income on the Internet.

So, dig deep into your experiences, education, talents. Every person on earth has some kind of information that is of value to others.

= But, They Can Just Find That Information On The Internet =

Yes! The Internet does have all the information you could ever need. But, finding it is another thing. The Internet is chock full of data. Data of every imaginable sort.

And thats exactly the problem people face. There is a glut of data. Data, not focused information.

You will be selling information. You will be packaging that data into a useful information product, you will be giving your customers something useful. You will be giving them the needle in the haystack.

And, yes, your customers are quite willing to pay you for a nicely bundled package of information. They will pay you because, you are saving them precious time.

= But, I Told You - I Can't Write =

This is the most common excuse for not writing an e-book. It's also the poorest excuse.

The fact is, you don't have to be a writer. Just tell your readers the information. Pretend you're having a conversation with a friend. Pretend you're showing your friend how to do something.

No need for fancy writing. Just keep it friendly, to the point. Help your reader.

So, sit down. Put your thoughts on paper. Write down the main points and then start stringing them together. Write the way you would talk to your friend.

Before you know it, you'll have an e-book sitting on your computer - all ready to be sold on the Internet.
